and i’ve seen fanarts, and what i wonder is why do all artists portray the protagonists the same way? like, there’s really few descriptions in the book so… is there any kind of official art?
I’ve seen the book cover art, but I hesitate to consider it official because of the variation in book covers. I am also somewhat irritated by them because I don’t imagine the characters as they appear on the cover.
I think a contributing factor to the ‘accepted character designs’ is that we see fanart that’s circulating and we want to make sure the characters are recognizable in the fandom, so we need to emulate the existing fanwork.
And while there seems to be a general acceptance of particular aspects of the characters, I think its pretty safe to say that the character designs will change once actors step into the picture, but in the meantime, we’re all playing off of each other.
I guess these came out of trying to figure out how Crowley would sleep. Which would be in the suffocating-death-hug manner.

Anyways, SuperOmens AU: Aziraphale was surprised at how enthusiastic Crowley got when he mentioned getting a sweater for Cas. He was just as surprised when Crowley showed up with two sweaters in hand.
